Clone Printed Circuit Board Rules

Clone Printed Circuit Board procedures can be separated into six different steps which includes netlist input, rules installation, component layout, track layout, inspection, recheck and output.

1, Netlist input, there are two ways for netlist input when Clone Printed Circuit Board, first is use OLE PowerPCB connection functions from Powerlogic, choose the SEND NETLIST, use OLE functions, and can be in line with schematic diagram and layout from Clone Printed Circuit Board, minimize the possibility of mistakes. Another way is use PowerPCB to load the netlist directly, choose FILEàIMPORT, input the netlist obtained from Schematic diagram after Clone Printed Circuit Board.

2, Rules Installation

If the rules have been set up in the stage of schematic diagram reverse engineering from Clone Printed Circuit Board, then it is not necessary to install these rules, since once the netlist has been input, the Printed Circuit Board clone rules will be loaded into the PowerPCB together and if the clone rules have been modified, the schematic diagram must be synchronized together to ensure the schematic diagram can be in line with Printed Circuit Board clone. Except the clone rules and layer definition, there are several other rules need to set up such as Pad Stacks, need to modify the size of standard through hole. Once the engineer build a new solder pad or through hole, it must add the layer on it.
